AGREE-REX development and validation now published!

27 May 2020

We are very excited to announce that our study describing the development of the AGREE-REX tool for evaluating recommendations, and its validation is finally out! Our paper entitled “Development and validation of a tool to evaluate the guideline recommendations” involved 322 international stakeholders representing developers, users and researchers of Clinical Practice Guidelines worldwide. We found that the AGREE-REX tool is useful for evaluating recommendations, differentiating among them and identifying credible and implementable recommendations. This is excellent news for the guidelines enterprise and for practicing care health professionals and policymakers who use guidelines in their context. We are very grateful to all the participants from the guidelines’ community for their time and effort during the process of tool development. This project was funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), grant 201209MOP- 285689-KTR-CEBA-40598.
